Dear Beautiful Bride to Be,

My name is Faithe Sigh, and I am the inspiration behind Sigh Wedding & Event Planning. This is the only time that I will take this much time to talk about me because, after this, it’s all about you!

I must confess that, although I have been planning events for more than fifteen years, I never thought my passion would evolve into a bridal service! It’s actually funny because I have not always been girly. I grew up in the country and was the only girl of four children. My brothers made sure that I was exposed to lots of mud and daring excursions. Thanks guys!

So what led to my change? Well, for one, my family discovered that I had a gift for music and started entering me into various events and, well, I rocked! I rocked straight through college. And with all of that rocking, came a lot of exposure. That exposure transformed me into a lady. (~.~ )

In the midst of it all, I discovered additional gifts such as, playwriting and motivating others.  Merging all of my gifts opened so many doors for me such as, spending three awesome summers in New York singing my heart out in order to pay for school, forming and directing an Inspirational drama team for three years that toured Canada and Bermuda by invitation, singing for Former President George W. H. Bush, as well as gracing the stage of Carnegie Hall. I was also very fortunate to spend six incredible weeks in Budapest Hungary, serving in the mission field.

My undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Religion were not tell-tale signs that I would become a Professional Bridal Consultant by any means. However, they did pave the way for an incredible job experience during my six-year stay in Boston, Massachusetts. They also served as prep work for graduate school.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t until I experienced a number of devastating blows on the day of my wedding (as well as the months before) that threatened to interfere with uniting with the man of my dreams, that my interest in becoming a Professional Bridal Consultant was ignited.

I was determined that I would never allow another bride to experience the unnecessary challenges I had if I could help it.

After becoming well-acclimated with “wifehood”, giving birth to beautiful baby boy seventeen months later and enrolling into grad school, I STILL had bridal consulting on the brain. So, I purposed to find a credible bridal consulting curriculum to aid in the realization of my dream.

After much research, I determined that the Association of Bridal Consultants was the most prestigious choice. As a result, I enrolled and volunteered to serve as an apprentice for a local bridal consultant.  The hands-on experience solidified that my passion was here to stay! Soon thereafter, I completed the ABC's Professional Development Program and earned the title of Professional Bridal Consultant. From there, I offered my services to family, friends, and even strangers in order to add to my experience before launching my business.

After directing a number of weddings, I can clearly see how my formal education as well as life experiences have greatly advantaged me in this industry.  With ease, I operate in a competent manner when handling the most emotional aspects of the planning experience. I have the distinct gift of motivating each newly acquired best friend, helping them to think outside of the box.

I am a stickler for details, and I pride myself in my resourcefulness and active listening skills.  I want to hear what you have to say because Every Bride Has Her Something and it can only be discovered by the trained ear!

I named all of our packages after the various forms of runway aisles. I chose this concept because it is one of those factors that EVERY bride has in common. Every bride will grace some form of an aisle that will lead to her love. The magic is found in the manner in which it is done, and the stunning results will vary from bride to bride! My job is to help prepare you for a grand entrance fitting of the princess you are. I won’t prep you to enter like anyone else but YOU!

In closing,

When it comes to planning a wedding, for me, it is no different that writing, planning and directing a live production. However, on the wedding stage there are no retakes. Sigh Wedding & Event Planning will get it right first time. (smile)

p.s. A Sigh Bride is a confident bride and a confident bride is a Runway Bride!
